Live Oak Theatre’s New Building Has a New Name

Live Oak Theatre’s Building Will Now be Called “The Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts / Home of Live Oak Theatre”

The board of directors of Live Oak Theatre, at a recent meeting, voted unanimously to name its new building the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts / Home of Life Oak Theatre. The naming of the theatre acknowledges the unwavering encouragement and financial support given by Carol and Frank Morsani of Brooksville during the theatre’s initial capital campaign.

At their request Mr. & Mrs. Morsani were originally referred to as “our anonymous benefactors.” Once the campaign was concluded the couple gave permission to reveal their names. Mr. & Mrs. Morsani made an initial donation of $100,000 to kickstart the campaign and then awarded an additional matching grant of $100,000 after the theatre group successfully raised $100,000 on their own.

Live Oak Theatre will hold a preview showcase of its 2018-2019 season in the new Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts on Friday, September 21 at 7:30 pm and again on Sunday, September 23, at 2:30 pm. Tickets are only $15 for adults and $5 for children. Season ticket holders will receive a discounted admission. The showcase will feature selected numbers from the upcoming productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, It’s a Wonderful Life and Godspell. The group will also include selected performances from its hit former seasons.

The Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts is located at 21030 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34601. For more information about the theatre and its upcoming events call the box office at 352-593-0027 or email LiveOakBoxOffice@gmail.com or go online at www.LiveOakTheatre.org.
